Overview and Purpose#

Every Wednesday between 10.00 and 11.00 we hold a “Knowledge Transfer” session with staff from the UK and Manila.

The purpose of these sessions is to share knowledge around the team about the products and services that are being delivered by the various delivery teams.

Generally people come along just before a product or service is about to go-live so that people can give a brief demo of the product, overview of the runbook  (inc. Architecture, Infrastructure etc.) and an informal discussion about what’s being delivered.

It’s a great opportunity to collaborate with us so if you have anything coming up please get in touch with the team so that we can book you in (we’ll invite you, create the invite and share a hangout link).

Alternatively if we hear you are launching something either via a showcase, newsletter of by some other means, don’t be surprised if we get in touch and invite you along !

The sessions are open – anyone who might find them useful can come along.  See below for a list of pre-requisites.

Pre-requisites#

Below are some of the things we find useful if you come to a session

If there’s anything practical that the team can practice such as doing a failover that really helps.  Ideally we are looking for the key things that the 1st Line Teams can so to support your service.

Please note: These sessions are often recorded so that they can be shared around the various team members who work shifts.  If you have any objections to the session being recorded please let us know.
